Subject: RE: what brand..

Oxford County, ON
That photo is a few years old. The plastic in the picture is Trioplast (Taarup/Kverneland's preferred plastic) but we can't get it without buying a container load now, which is a little much. It was by far the best plastic we've ever used, but did leave a tail and was expensive.

We are using Silowrap now with very good results. Sunfilm and pretty much any other N. American brand is a joke unless you want to wrap everything at three in the morning so it doesn't get too hot and stretch apart. Our primary wrapper is a Kverneland/Taarup pull-type individual square bale wrapper that can also do rounds up to 4' high. With the Sunfilm, the driver was off almost every bale because it would rip on the corners or just pull apart by itself. We can wrap about 45 bales/hr in the field with the Silowrap (or when we could get Trioplast), but it was a good day to get 30/hr with any other brand.

What model of Anderson wrapper do you have, Derby? We bought a used 780SB last fall to replace our Kverneland rd. bale wrapper because we wanted another one capable of doing squares or rounds. We've been getting along ok (only done rounds so far), but have had some issues getting it to cut the plastic properly.
