Subject: RE: Creating Field Reports

Don is correct.  EASi Suite is a field based crop recordkeeping system, so we print maps at the field and cropzone level (except for boundary maps).    What you want to do by printing maps of layers that cross fields is on our enhancement list, but is currently a low priority, as the scenario can be handled with SuperFields or CropZones.   For instance, if you want to have your "Field" split into to because of FSA requirements... make it one field for farming purposes and have a cropzone on each side of the ditch, with separate FSA numbers... even if it is the same crop.

Right now, we don't generate contour and surface maps w/o IntelliCalc.   That will change this summer.  I'm not aware of other "simple" maps that we don't do with the base package, and with the Layer Summary Report generator, I think we do summary reports that go beyond "simple".

IntelliCalc is intense.  Most people that use it have worked with us one-on-one to describe what they want to do and we provide a shell script or suggestions.   Now that we have Excel integration, though, we hope that the tool becomes easier for casual users.
