Bought a nice bunch of breds and pairs this week.
Cows mostly 4 year olds, Red and Black Angus, Pair calves were nice sized ( 140 to 160 lbs...one of the Pairs was a 3 in 1 ), right at $1,000 per bred cow or pair, worked.
Wormed em, Tagged everything, TSV2, LV5, Bovishield Gold, 7-Way etc. Banded small horns on 5 of the cows.
Half the deal is Pairs, Half breds.
Fancy set of young cows, went N to good grass so will look Real showy in a couple weeks.
Bought another set of Solid Mouth Bred cows....$775, Blacks and BWF...they went N too.
One of the nieghbors is selling 180 Pairs and Breds in the next 10 days, I expect those to be in the same price range.
Calf weight from here on out tends to add roughly an extra $100 per month to pairs. ( 3 lbs per day of calf growth at $100 cwt ).
