Sounds like a sale barn. I always figured there was a reason someone took them to the sale... and usually it isn't because they were the best cow on the place. If you want to know what your getting buy them private treaty from a good outfit.

I just sold some nice black heifers. Yearlings, pushing 1000 lbs. Probably got $0.15 over market at the sale because the buyer wanted something now, some quality cows and something they knew didn't have problems. Buying them at a sale you never know why they are there, are they a freemartin, the cow has bad traits, vet couldn't breed, etc.
