SE Wisconsin | i am looking at redoing my calf set up. i was looking at using the farmtek style plastic panels as pen dividers. that way when they are cleared out, i can pressure wash everything off.
I was at my local building supply store yesterday and saw two alternate options. both are about half the cost of the farm tek poly panels.
One was a plastic panel reinforced with fiberglass, the other was a roofing sheet called ondura. both were rigid enough to use with small calves as pen dividers in my opinion. The only question i would be concerned with would be if either were "chewed" on by the calf, could it hurt them?
I hate to be cheap, but when raising holstein feeders, it is all about efficiency :) | |
