northwest tennessee | No you can still do it. I like females better for that reason. A male heeler will be more to deal with. Get him to understanding back and you will be on the road. You may have to be more rough with him. When you teach him to back he will listen better all the way around. They want to please and he will learn that he is doing what you want. People think that popping them on the nose is mean. They dont understand a heeler and this would not work with any other dog I dont imagine. Some heelers have a head like a brick and at some point you have to put some fear in them that you are the boss. | |
