DeKalb, IL | It sounds to me that you've got a mis-match between the dimensions of the screen resolution setting and the new wide-screen monitor. I'd hazard a guess your old monitor was a conventional 4 x 3 proportion, while the new Acer is a wide-screen display. The new driver for the Acer monitor should make it possible to select other screen settings, so you might play around with those settings a bit and see if you're able to get an 'un-stretched' image on your screen. Wide-screens are nice in giving you plenty of left-to-right image, they effectively cut off some of the vertical image we've been used to on that wide of a 4 x 3 screen. | |
