Malheur County Oregon | Couple of things, A really good guide book is http://www.wizardpub.com/maui/maui.html It does a good job of where all the little out of the way sites are to see and gives the milage points of where they are. It's worth the money.
http://www.pacificwhale.org/ Pacific Whale Foundation does a nice job on the booze,dinners,sunset,snorkle,whale watching cruises. These type of trips are a lot of fun to go on and seeing the whales is pretty neat. If you have never done it go snorkleing.
The upper country, Piaa, Kula etc is very pretty and a good way to spend a day. We haven't done it but I hear the sunrise at http://www.nps.gov/hale/index.htm is beautiful. We have done Haleakala just not the sunrise. TAKE WARM CLOTHES!!! even during the day | |
