Kansas | Got to meet him in person one time.
I'm pretty sure it was in the agco tent at Husker Harvest Days.
I have only read one of his books and I was so engulfed in it I read it in just a couple days.
Always have enjoyed his writings. Of course, I have a deep appreciation for a good bs'er for comedy. Add to that a setting around ag and old tractors and women, A man after my own heart.
Anyhows....
At the HHD meeting, there seemed to be a decent line in front and behind me to meet him that day. If there are folks in G.I. that don't care much for him, they were not highly represented at that time.
I still have a package of popsickle seeds he sent me. LOL.
He's a good ole boy. | |
