SE Wisconsin | My wife's family has a boxer. He has hip displaysia so bad that he can no longer walk on his own. They think it is "cute" to have to carry is back end around with a sling they made for him. Last summer he was getting pretty bad and they wanted to keep him around for our wedding in September. Now, I (being from the country) think that they should have put him down when he could no longer walk back in December. They(being from the city) are giving him medicine and tring to keep him alive as long as they can. I know they have some problems with grieving properly since when even one of our fish dies it is the end of the world. My family dog that I spent my entire childhood with died last year and I barely shed a tear since I knew she could barely hear anymore and had some arthritis pretty bad and she was in a better place. I don't want to rock the boat since everytime someone asks them how he is doing they ball uncontrollably. What should I do? | |
