| I have had 7 or 8 beta test versions over the last 6 months, and even tho just 6 weeks ago i was running release candidate 2, i haven't seen the retail version, from what I have heard not alot changed with the shipping version.
What I can tell you is system requirements are very stout. 1 gig ram absolutely minimum 2 gig recommended, and with vistas aeroglass feature you will need a new generation video card. any P4 5xx series processor and later would be fine.
My 2 cents: for the cost of the new OS vs. amount of programs that are struggling with windows certification, I believe it best to wait until your favorite programs are supported and had time to work out their bugs. Xp is fine and will be supported by MS for quite awhile. | |
