.............I must admit have used one to get my mom to a Dr.'s office in Ft Wayne. It was handy, user friendly, and acurrate. I was in a hurry and it helped to not have to worry about getting lost and missing the appointed test time. That being said, I refuse to buy one. I would rather use my head, and think through trips before hand. I agree, that we seem to keep finding ways to dumb down our population. How many stories have I heard about people getting stuck on train tracks etc. due to the "gps telling them to turn"? edit disclaimer: I should add that the wife has the one I used. Hers is useful with her job as a LEO. She has a need to get to certain addresses quickly many times. She thinks I should get one, but I would in a pinch ( as mentioned above) use hers. I won't get one just for myself.
