West Texas | I don't have a pic, but I know dutch has some. Essentially, it's a tool that breaks up the crust that forms on plowed soil after a heavy rain. If left alone, the crusted soil would quickly blow out under the influence of sun and wind. I have a few patches of wheat blowouts that need to be taken care of before the next big wind, or I will lose even more wheat and cropland to the cascade effect. I hate seeing blowing sand, and I hate it even more when it's MY wheat (or cotton) that's blowing out. |
