Comparing Manning to Leaf in my opinion on a scale of one to ten with ten being best.
Manning vs Leaf
Talent 10 vs 9
Attitude 10 vs 6 on a good day 3 as in 3 years old most of the time
Team situation
they landed in 8 vs 5
luck with health 9 vs 4
In every category Manning wins. I believe that Leaf entered the league with the 6 Attitude at best. I think given the right situation and coaching he could have raised that attitude up to as high as a strong 8. It didn’t happen and when you toss in the injuries he spiraled down, blew up and fizzled out. Latest I remember hearing he was facing drug charges in Texas.
