There is nothing better than to have a warm place to fix something in the winter or to thaw it out. Once you have it you never want to be with out it. The whole farm shop is a loaded question. Some people change oil and store seed in there shop. Other people Fix or rebuild everything or make something new that they wanted and can't find. You can weight what you can do or have time to do to see if it is worth it. My shop is 60x105 it cost me around $1500 a year to heat and I turn the heat on and don't touch it. I keep the shop around 66deg.
