I too have been a fan of the show. But I was very disappointed in the distortion and bias in the storyline. Not to mention even they said what they were doing in the field was illegal. Unfortunately, if you have no background to gauge the claims and exagerations you could get caught up and agree with them as they make it look so glamorous. It amazes me that they can always find the answer. It is not as easy to do some of these tests as they make it out to be. But this portrayal is not limited to the CSI, House, or other imaginary show. It also seems to show up in the local news lately. Locally, KMBC ran a series on the alledgedly tainted sludge from a hide processing plant causing brain tumors, brought in Erin Brockovich who quickly "found" the problem, chromium. Yes, some chromium was found but below the acceptable levels as established by EPA. Haven't heard too much about it lately.
