Yes,
Dave Steritz (SP?) used to farm right where the glacier ended. At the house the ground was actually quite good. 1/2 mile farther south you ran into the rocks and from there south you had crawdad soil. Cut up more equipment with a torch than most people could afford to own. Helps when you marry the bank owner's only child.
