They aren't able to pull enough well water so they pull from the Tennessee River that runs along their fields. A diesel pump (no 3 phase nearby) pushes the water to the pivot, then a smaller pump puts it through the pipe. What I didn't know, the screen has spigots that use water to push the screen in a circle, then some inside that blast the junk off the outside. You learn something everyday. If I can find the right photo, the tree line is where the river is, probably 800 feet from the pivot. Water runs underground in 8 to 10 inch pipe, depending on the pivot length.
