South Central Kansas
It was pretty good. Started out saying that only about 1% of the corn raised was for food. IE, sweet corn, corn for canning, popcorn etc. They showed sweet corn being mechanically harvested then being processed in the plants. Then they showed farmers harvesting corn, corn breeders talking about it, they showed it being fed to animals and used in ethanol plants.

The breeders also explained how corn had no wild populations to get breeding material from and how it would die out if it is not cultivated. Volunteer corn simply won't keep regenerating itself. I thought that was really interesting.

At the end, they touched on the premise that more and more corn was being used for ethanol and that more acres of corn would lead to less acres of other crops used for human food. I don't think they were really saying that we would starve because of more corn being made into ethanol.

All in all a pretty good show. Anyone else who watched it feel free to add to my comments.
