Ok, first of all..there are a lot of options here. If your machine is AutoTrac Ready, you can add a mobile processor and a key card and autotrac for around $3500. If you are bumping up to a GS2, you're looking at dual displays, so the 8K range is relistic. The major advantage to a GS2 in your sprayer is you have easy access to swath control. This 2000 dollar investment will pay for itself faster than anything else in the precision market. Keep in mind though, this will work fine with a 4720, 4920, 4930, or 4830. If you have a 4710, it has to be above serial number 4000 or you will have to change the spray rate controller. That's about $750. Also, if you aren't Autotrac ready, an ATU is $3150 or the EH valve is about $4000 installed. Finally, keep in mind that direct command doesn't work that great on deere sprayers. It controls the voltages wrong and doesn't talk to the pump correctly. It works, but not as well as the integrated deere system. Look for used and start small. In the end, it's totally true that you get what you pay for.
