Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA, | Lets see, Goldkist was bought by Pilgram's Pride in 2007, fast forward to 2009, Pilgram's Pride went bankrupt. Closed the plant in Douglas that was a former Goldkist plant. Lot of growers got a good payout with PP, spent it, mostly on their chicken houses, now those houses are essentially worthless, I know several will lose their farms over it. I know how they feel, our two house were $550,000, admittidly more specialized, but I suspect to build them again would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $700,000.
