To help with the problems you saw it might have been better if you turned the Min sats setting down to 4.
Then try setting the filter to around 10-15mins, Also make sure it is version 3.10 firmware, this is pretty much solid with Egnos. Sometimes it has paid off in the past to turn off the Egnos corrections altogether as sometimes using the signal can reduce sat numbers dramatically.
You shouldn't really have had any problems with the number of satelites in France as Don has pointed out.
When using the planning software make sure you have the elevation set to around 8 deg, it might be defaulting to 13-15 | |
