I suspect you have that wrong.  I've never understood the attraction of men to other men.

I've never been a sports fan - the clash of steroids and egos against steroids and egos - driven not by a competitive spirit, but the desire to destroy the opponent.

I some times in the past have watched an event of the olympics or a clip of the best of sports at the end of the year but that is it for me.  Some of us still actually work for a living and not just 8 to 5.

I see the sports phenomenon in this country as being the result of from far too much money and leisure time and driven by low self esteem - if I can align with a "winner" then I will be a winner.  And then their team loses . . .

Edited to add:  I guess that probably explains the attraction of some men to other men - the attempt to build their own esteem by identification with another.
