There is a solution to the Boise State issue.... recently Big Ten has been "beating the drum" about expanding its conference. And U. Missouri is being tossed about as a possibility. And from what I read, Missouri has been commenting that, if offered, they are interested in exploring that opportunity. So, Big Ten offers Missouri the opportunity to join Big Ten. At that point, Big 12 has an opening in their conference. Right now, Boise State needs to be clamoring to join Big 12. and when Big 12 has that opening, they need to make the pitch to Boise State. 3 problems solved at once: a) Big Ten gets its expansion; b) Big 12 has no gaps in its conference; c) Boise State gets to ramp up its competition. (and it creates an opportunity for Mountain West to add another school to its conference.) |
