Also if your ISP features firewall, with that and the XP firewall enabled I would say you are protected as good or better as some.
Other things to watch out for with broadband always on connections is being directly connected. Adding a router acts as a hardware firewall that filters incoming trafic. Simply described that if your computer didnt request it then the router doesnt know where to send it and it goes no where. | |
