I've had a Whirpool for 10 years. Have to replace a little plastic pump every 5 years due to a poor seal design. Cost is $60 each time. No problems other than that. It is the quietest washer that I've ever heard.
We use old Maytags at the barn for washing towels. They are noisey, but they seem to be bullet proof.
