Subject: RE: Hydraulic couplers

St. Joseph, Champaign County, IL
FASSE valve (or equivalent), mounted at the back of the cultivator. Easier/ cheaper to run the control wiring to the valve, instead of adding a second set of hydraulic hoses.

We used to pull a chain harrow behind our field cultivator. It had separate raise and fold functions/ hydraulic circuits. Put the FASSE on the cultivator, where the hoses from the harrow would reach. Used a simple 3 wire, 120V extension cord for the wiring. Even used the cord ends, to make/ break the connection between cultivator and tractor when hooking/ unhooking the two. Worked well for multiple years.

Edit: If you only need the FASSE for running the harrow behind the FC, I'd do as above. If you could/ would use the FASSE for other applications, I'd put it on the tractor and run a second set of hoses to the back of the FC.
