I haven't seen anything about grx file support for Gen 4 or G5. The display manuals only mention importing shape files
The on-display shape file converter on 2600 and 2630 displays actually converts the files from shp to grx file format, so the grx format remains an option for those displays for fewer steps

You don't need GRX files and haven't for many years, thankfully. Just shape files will do fine on anything 2630 and newerÂ
