Most of the time you can leave the comprehensive coverage on and take off the liability and collision. That would cover you for collapse, fire, theft, etc. It is just not legal to drive without liability so you need to have your agent put full coverage back on before driving it. It is fairly inexpensive to keep comp on during the off season.
