Subject: Basis contracts = long in elevators hedge account

We have all those basis contracts that are going to have to be priced this week.

Make sure you’ve checked with your merchandiser and know what your rule is.

How much are they going ding you to roll?

Are they going to automatically price it and when are they going to price it?

Do they get to choose or do you get to choose?

If you don’t get to choose.. take back that control.

Be proactive. You are essentially long in the elevators hedge account.

Don’t let them dictate how you are going to market your grain. Don’t take the price they decide to give you on any given day. Don’t let them front run you.

I strongly recommend not putting yourself in a situation where they get to choose when they get to price it.

Many.. but not all of these big ag companies are only looking out for their own benefits. They are not there to make you money. They want their bonuses as big as they can.

A lot of the guys you work with are probably great guys, but they might not have a say as their hands might be tied from who’s in charge.

You gotta take back control methodically…

Listen to todays audio where we go over exactly how to do this.
