Ottawa,ON Canada | We did. You have to replace the ECU if it’s the old one without CAN communication. Then tuner guy just sent a handheld device to install the tune. The tricky part is convincing JD to get you software for the new ECU. It has to be programmed and running before it can be tuned. They know exactly why you are changing the ECU, just have to keep saying the old one failed, that’s why you’re changing it.
It did however, make it a completely new tractor, they say the tune was about 350hp, no pto to check. It was gutless like you said, just didn’t even feel like the turbo was spooling up. Now it does and pulls hard. | |
