We had the best luck putting the receiver up by the exhaust pipe but on back half of the hood, as close to centerline of front axle as can be. It got tolerable at that point but was never great. Any of our 2+2s never drive straight with a steering wheel, it's either left or right. Would be interesting to put full hydraulic steering on one to see if it's go straight.
