Sac & Story county IA | I bought a couple motor overload protectors. Supposed to be good to 63 amps. I have one on a 10 hp single phase motor. Set to 46 amps. The control has a minimum start delay of one second. So the device starts the motor. It seems to do what it says it will. But is it big enough to handle inrush of 10 hp motor? It acts like amperage comes up slow. I put it in to replace the thermal overload in the motor box because I suspicion that was weak. And 90 feet in air. Easier to reset down here.
