I am not looking forward to the day when our local bank is bought out. It's a single location and you can talk to the owner if you'd like but he's in his early 70's and no one behind him to take over.
We use a credit union for personal accounts, and I hate it. Need to show ID to do any transaction, even deposit money, the manager needs to sign off on checks being deposited from our farm account into personal. You feel like you are being treated like a criminal the whole time.
At the local bank everyone knows us, some of them buy beef from us and it's a lot more friendly experience. | |
