| Pour it 6”, 3/8 rebar on 24” centres. Chair the rebar up 2-3”. 2x6 form boards. A spin screed is awesome for this kind of work. We made a roller similar to one I saw on here & wet groove as we go.
Guardrail makes nice bunk far cheaper than anything you buy pre-made. You can drill post holes & set pipe posts in concrete before you pour the slab. If you have a driver just drive the pipe 5’ in. We use clamps to attach the rail. One piece of 20” tribeam, 16” space & then one piece of 12”. Top rail to give it strength & prevent jumping.
If you don’t have the proper tools just buy a couple each time. It’s crazy how much easier a few basic tools can make projects. Have fun. Post pictures.
