As Doug said, they are replacing a bridge on 15 west of Nashville. There is also major construction on I64 west of Mt Vernon that is best to be avoided. Your best bet would be take 64 to the Nashville exit, then go south to rt 15 and take it into MtV. There are a few country road options around the bridge for farm equipment.
