NW Iowa | The regular 821xl is a 10-30 grade and is usually ran in the hyd with a 1000hr change interval
The 821xl plus is the 15-40 grade and is usually ran in the cvt witha 2000 hr change interval.
They can be swapped with no problems, your change interval just applies. But it's highly recommend to use the heavier plus in the cvt.
Edit- The front axle center beam takes 80-90
The front and rear planetaries take 75-140
Change every 400 to 800hrs, depending on use.
