sc Washington
We haul a lot of oversized equipment. Here in Washington state rules on the interstate is 13.5 feet only need flags and signs and lights. Up to 20 feet is one pilot car behind. Much rather go on the interstate than 2 lanes because of traffic and idiots. 2 lane here is 11 max and need 2 pilots. Sheriff won't mess with you unless being unsafe. Dot is out enforce and they are a pain they love to stop pickups with goosenecks. There is usually at least a couple wrecks around here each summer from some idiot not seeing a tractor with a massive piece of equipment behind it. One note I will say is I make our truck driver haul everything we can. I hate towing especially used equipment. I have been stuck along side the freeway to many times with a blown tire or bad wheel bearings.
