north central Iowa, Hampton | son and 1 daughter did competitions up to about 8th grade. It gets hard to keep school activities and the gym both satisfied.
I was never an athlete--and that still shows. I really hope the opposite holds true--by getting them in good shape early, I hope they'll have a head start at maintaining. Now that both are in their 20's, so far, so good.
