Central Texas | I don't get the opinion that you should never complain about rain. In our area we have been affected many times by drought, it's not a foreign concept to us at all. However, too much rain hurts just as much, if not more. We get big rains on already saturated ground and have terraces bust, waterways get washed out, and low spots in fields that drown out. I think if we totaled up crop losses from either scenario the excess moisture would be more detrimental than lack of moisture. I know drought is a very depressing thing to go through from personal experience, but getting drowned out by too much rain is not enjoyable either. | |
