IL | Tesla isn't a car company, it's a technology company who uses cars they sell to gather data. It's genius, sell thousands of cars full of sensors to the more progressive demographic and sell the info. They used info gathered from phones synced to their cars to see wifi speeds when people are at home. What's that got to do with anything? They saw the need for faster Internet speeds in certain areas and tied that tech to satellite they already had planned for their cars. They are in a position to sell info to all different industries and make big money, they already do. | |
