I’ve never seen rapeseed outgrow the corn but I’m only using maybe .5 pound-1 pound in my mixes. It’s usually the first to croak after I spray it too. If I miss anything the Halex/Atrizine smokes it on my corn post. Are you trying to kill it by roller crimping? I could see where that might cause problems
No atrazine here either, I go to sugar beets after corn. I thought the field cultivator was going to get what was left after the ripper in the fall. Sprayed sharpen and outlook after planting, didn’t get a rain for two weeks, by then it was poking thru. Hit it with status 3oz status and it beat it up but didn’t wipe it out. This was conventional corn. |
