WC IL | Been a few years since I did one myself, had our extension agronomist do them for me for years. You take a 100CC sample of soil, saturate it with water, and rinse that soil through a series of screens. Can’t remember the mesh count on the finest one. You take what is on that screen and observe it through a scope, count the cysts. Used to be the standard was 150 nematodes per cyst, not sure what they are using now. It’s been probably 7-8 years since I last sampled. | |
