Subject: RE: Rain over Easter

Fayette Co, Iowa
Hate to say it but my 2 best bushels per acre crop planting corn crop was may 8th. And may 12th. I’ve got some lighter soils can go most years April 15-20th…. It seems to lay there and by late may I cant tell the difference between corn planted April 20th and may 5th.. I’ve got neighbors that start the tractor and go April 12th. And then the emergence is uneven and Pail looking crops. 2 yield robbers right from the start. But if you have a lot of acres to cover (I’m a sto for my area) I can see why they get nervous farming 4 or 5 counties.
