| We grew some last year in north central sd. Planted it at 96 lbs an acre. We planted in early may i believe. I put on 100 pounds mesz, and 100 or 150 pounds 46. We got all big rains for the year. We hayed it in august after it head and cut 4.5 ton dry hay off of it. I thought it was amazing how well it did for us. I am thinking we my try to chop some this year. Under pivot it should really ton out. | |
