We’ve always used a Feedlot scale just down the road for silage harvest. They are under new management now. The new folks sees us all as competition for feed. In which case he’s right, we are. So nobody’s using the scale anymore but them. We have a CHS co-op about 10 miles down the road. But I’m not hauling 100 wagon loads down there and back. Thoughts on a wagon scale? Or measuring tonage in a bag? We are the only ranch using bags so would take some convincing to get a farmer here to want to agree to calculate tonnage in a bag versus using a scale. Open to both ideas.

Sounds like you have enough need to have your own scale - - - time to pony up.

Might as well build one that's full size for your biggest truck trailer combination (here I'd suggest a 100' scale).
