What would it take to convert a 12/23 model of these to a 18-20” planter? Looks like tool bar open enough to slide row units on? Then just have to come up with new pipe or couplers to use what’s there?

Beyond the normal wear stuff, anything more peculiar to this machine? Are there much

Do they have any/much flex for terraces? Decent performance for notill? Assume these use a disc of sorts for the meters? Does a guy have to have a collection of those for different seed sizes? How about planting milo with one…have JD row units with Kinze brush meters and have both milo meters and seed rite cover crop discs for my current planter.

There isn't much flex in that frame, some, but not like a wing planter.

The only peculiar thing is the "top link" bracket that can break. We always told folks to keep a spare. That is 3pt hitch frame with a little longer 3pt hitch on it to fit that L&R cart. Sold a dozen or 15 of them when they were available. They are heavy in the field, only have 3 wheels to carry the weight when you lift.

As for sliding units, the only problem could be where the wing joints are, you'd have to measure to see if there's 20" room to get the unit spacing right.
