Subject: RE: Fixing a plastic tank

Princeton, Indiana
I'm not telling anyone anything they don't already know but sunlight (UV) destroys poly tanks over time and the material gets brittle and loses strength. Depending on the age and condition of the tank it might be beyond repairs. When the tank is empty, take a baseball bat and hit that thing like you are down 2 runs in the 9th inning and swinging for the fence. If the poly is good the bat will bounce back with no damage. If it cracks and breaks it's beyond fixing.
