If I had something with cable drives, I would happily trade it for chains.
Those cable drives cause problems. Walk behind a planter once that has them, and watch the irregular movement of the meter. They jerk and buck worse than a rusted chain.
A well oiled chain turns nice and smooth, and there's not a meter out there that doesn't prefer smooth.
