Subject: RE: 1/16 wheels?

West Texas
My uncle builds a lot of wooden toys in spare time and he has always made them out of wood with a hole saw. They always turn out looking really nice. He might use a 2” saw to make the wheel but would first maybe use a 1-1/2” and cut 1/8” deep to look like a tire on a wheel. He cuts them out and then bolts them together on an all thread rod and sands them on a stationary belt sander. He would hold them at a slight angle so they don’t spin too fast and they end up all being identical. Hold the all thread with small pieces of pvc pipe. Not sure if this might be an option.
